Local Architects Feted for Foot Bridge

SAN DIEGO-The local architecture firm Tucker Sadler Noble Castro Architects wins an industry award for it design of a pedestrian bridge near the San Diego Convention Center.

SAN DIEGO-Tucker Sadler Noble Castro Architects was awarded a citation in the “special projects” category of the recent San Diego AIA award competition for the pedestrian bridge over Harbor Drive near the San Diego Convention Center.

The 570-foot-long bridge would span over the existing Santa Fe Railroad, San Diego Trolley and Coaster tracks between Fifth Avenue and Eighth Avenue along Harbor Drive, connecting the Convention Center and Bay to the Gaslamp District, ballpark and East Village. Alternative locations that have been proposed for the structure include Fifth and Eighth avenues.
