The new distribution center will begin shipping product to salons later this month. The Salt Lake facility joins its distribution center in Chattanooga, TN, and "will significantly improve transit times to our salons and reduce overall operating expenses," says Bruce McMahon, vice president of logistics for Regis.
Closing of the Eden Prairie facility will affect nearly 90 employees. They will be offered transfers to the Company's other distribution facilities and the opportunity to apply for openings at the company's corporate headquarters in Edina.
