All 500 office workers were evacuated and sent home after water leaked into the air conditioning system, disrupting the cooling process.

The Florida Department of Insurance, which has offices in the building, did not have a preliminary damage estimate. But construction industry estimators familiar with similar situations tell GlobeSt.com the estimated damage will be at least $35,000.

The building is at 400 W. Robinson St., adjacent to the six-story, 100,000-sf U.S. District Courthouse structure. All tenants in the brown concrete-clad building are state agencies.
