Grantchester has created one of the largest edge of centre retail and leisure schemes in Scotland by adding 107,500 sf of retail and 65,000 sf of leisure to the existing 210,000 sf. The total size is now close to 410,000 sf.

Rents on Phase II are at £16.50 ($23) per sf and new occupiers include JJB Sports, MFI,Going Places, Land of Leather and Room 2, joining existing retailers including Tesco, Homebase, Texstyle World, Currys, Comet and Halfords. The leisure anchors are the Bannatyne Health Club a Cine UK ten screen multiplex.

Phase III comprising another five units totalling 30,000 sf is in the pipeline. Nick Hewson, Executive Chairman of Grantchester, said: 'Our Falkirk scheme continues to grow and develop into one of the strongest retail locations in the region. We are now seeing increasing letting interest from traditionally high street occupiers and we expect to see more evidence of this, particularly since the scheme is so close to the town centre itself.'

Letting agents are Campbell & Co and Chase & Partners.
