Developer Mulls Swapping Office for Hotel

ATLANTA-Centennial Hill Development Partners is focusing on finding a blue-ribbon anchor for its 282,000-sf, spec Park Tower near Centennial Olympic Park but could switch gears if a big-user tenant can't be found, area brokers say.

ATLANTA-For now, Centennial Hill Development Partners’ 282,000-sf Park Tower is a go, but it could be swapped for a hotel project if a big-user tenant can’t be found for the spec office building proposed near Centennial Olympic Park, area brokers intimate with the developer’s plans tell GlobeSt.com.

Representatives of the three companies comprising the partnership couldn’t be reached at GlobeSt.com’s publication deadline. But brokers who have worked with the firms tell GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity that plans for the Park Tower office structure aren’t set in concrete.

“If they strike out by year end (on finding an anchor), I wouldn’t be surprised to hear they are planning to put up a hotel instead,” a construction industry official familiar with the area’s mix of assets, tells GlobeSt.com.
