ATLANTA-Residents in the modest Brandon Hill subdivision are asking Clayton County commissioners to deny a conditional use permit to Indiana-based Renewed Property Management Group because they fear a planned 258-unit apartment complex will generate criminal activity.

They prefer, instead, to live near the 72-acre John L. Maddock Inc. salvage yard where the developer plans to build its $20-million shelter project at $77,519 per unit on 58 acres, along with four commercial buildings on 12 acres. RPM will also provide 33 acres of green space.
