With the additional space, the carpet and duct cleaning firm now leases the full 58,500 sf of Rutland 5, located at Metric and Boyer boulevards in Austin's north submarket. Six months ago, the company had moved from a 12,000-sf facility and has increased its staff 165%. The number of employees is not available.
Troy MacMane, a senior associate with the Trammell Crow Co., has brokered the deal for Blackmon Mooring Steamatic. MacMane says, in a prepared statement, that the building gives Blackmon Mooring a strong presence on a major Austin street. The Ft. Worth-based Blackmon Mooring provides fire and water restoration, mold remediation, carpet and air duct cleaning services. It was founded after World War II.
