Merritt brings to the table more than 15 years' experience with developers targeting the Western United States. During that time, Merritt has overseen more than 10 million sf of space in the sectors of high-rise offices, medical buildings, hospitality and mixed-use projects.

The Northwest division of St. Louis-based, employee-owned McCarthy began when McCarthy acquired Seattle-based SDL Corp. in 1991. It now has a full-time staff of 85 office and field professionals involved in 45 projects in various phases of pre-construction with aggregate contract values totaling more than $350 million.

According to the company, the bulk of its annual revenues is derived from commercial projects in entertainment, office, hospitality, residential/retirement, retail and tenant improvements. This sector represents approximately one-third of its nearly $1.25 billion average. At 22%, healthcare projects account for about $269 million, with 15% (or $183 million) coming from the industrial sector.
