Apartment Store/Apartment Guide helps rent 36,000 apartments in the Denver area each year. The company has 150,000 apartment units in its database, says Anne Dresser, the company's president.

"I'll be staying on as western regional manager," Dresser tells GlobeSt.com. "I'm not going anywhere."

RelocationCentral will provides online and call center services for people looking for apartments. In addition, employees of the company provide a personal touch by driving people around to look at units, says Dresser. There is no charge to people using the service; revenues come from fees paid by apartment communities as well as from partnerships with moving service companies.

Dresser says the company is opening in Minneapolis and probably will expand into Chicago next.

Ed MacFadyen, president of RelocationCentral, says the company will eventually provide services across the country.

"(Apartment Store/Apartment Guide) is a perfect fit as we seek to establish a company characterized by national consistency and local knowledge in the assistance it provides to apartment movers," MacFadyen says.

"RelocationCentral by CORT will become the nationwide trusted source for convenient, time-saving information and services for apartment movers. The individual mover will be able to handle virtually all relocation needs through our site, call center and locator offices."
