The two multifamily complexes, Newlin Apartments and Milton Apartments, are located in Whittier. The 16-unit Newlin Apartments complex is located at 7617-7623 Newlin Ave., while the 14-unit Milton Apartments complex stands at 7243-7247 Milton Ave.
Both complexes have been sold by Oregon-based private investors Armando and Robin Rodriguez, who were represented by Ken Morgan and Jay Skenderian of Morgan Skenderian. The Newlin Apartments complex has been purchased by George Castelli of Lakewood, who was represented by Sari Casar from Century 21. Shakti and Sangeeta Bhatia of Cerritos have acquired the Milton Apartments complex. They were represented by Sam Shah from Remax Realty.
Multifamily complexes continue to be a favorite among local investors, as low vacancies and a continuously growing rental base has kept the county's apartment market sizzling.
