County Calls ULI's $110,000 Fee Too Steep

TAVARES, FL-Cautious of urban sprawl but watching every penny, Lake County commissioners turned down a proposal from Washington, D.C.-based Urban Land Institute to complete a one-week, land-management study for a $110,000 fee.

Instead, some commissioners feel the same objective study could be done by the county’s planning staff. Catherine Hanson, a longtime commercial/residential broker in the area and the commission’s chair, pushed for the ULI study.
