The Dallas-based national wireless services provider is paying roughly $14.50 per sf on a 10-year contract for space in the 105,487-sf, 91%-leased office building at 1401 NW 136th Ave., sources familiar with the deal tell GlobeSt.com.
In a prepared statement, officials with Deerfield Beach, FL-based Brenner Real Estate Group say MetroPCS California/Florida, an affiliate of MetroPCS Inc. and MetroPCS Wireless Inc., plan to hire about 50 workers to operate a regional headquarters site. Adam C. Starr, a Brenner associate/broker represented Saw-Ban Ltd., the lessor, in negotiations with MetroPCS.
Founded in 1994, the Dallas company owns federally allocated C-Block wireless communications licenses in the 30 Megahertz spectrum which cover an estimated population of 22 million people. The wireless coverage area includes a population of about 10.7 million in San Francisco, 4.7 million in the Atlanta area and 6.3 million in South Florida.
