Cable & Wireless Pulls Plug on Leeds Project

LEEDS Telecoms giant Cable & Wireless is said to have abandoned plans to open a new regional office and web hosting facility at the Thorpe Park Business Park near Leeds, West Yorkshire.

LEEDS Telecoms giant Cable & Wireless is said to have abandoned plans to open a new regional office and web hosting facility at the Thorpe Park Business Park near Leeds, West Yorkshire. Construction of the 22,605 sf is already well advanced and it is due to be completed in the summer 2001. But, according to researchers at businessparks.net, Cable & Wireless has now instructed GVA Grimley to market the building.

Thorpe Park is a joint venture company between Severn Trent Property, Teesland and GMI Holdings In addition to Cable & Wireless tenants at Thorpe park already include the National Grid, Regus and Time Retail Finance. Also under construction is a 123 bedroom, 4 star hotel for Shire Inns.
