Katz will be responsible for the acquisition and disposition of industrial, flex and R&D properties for Westcore's property portfolio in the western United States, as well as leasing activity for Westcore's San Diego portfolio.

He most recently was portfolio vice president for Legacy Partners Commercial Inc., where he negotiated leases totaling nearly 2 million sf of commercial property. Prior to that, he was regional manager for The Emmons Co., providing management services to homeowner associations, business parks and commercial shopping centers in San Diego and the Inland Empire.

Katz also previously worked as senior property manager for Kemper Real Estate Management Co., managing 400,000 sf of industrial, R&D and office property in Orange and Riverside counties, and as assistant vice president of acquisitions for Meyer Investment Properties in San Diego.

Westcore Industrial Properties is a private real estate company formed by Marc Brutten to acquire, redevelop and expand industrial, flex and R&D properties in the western United States. Westcore is headquartered in San Diego with a regional office in Los Angeles.
