Westcore Names New Director of Acquisitions

SAN DIEGO-Westcore Industrial Properties has named veteran Southern California real estate professional Gary Katz as its director of acquisitions. In his new post, Katz will be responsible for buying and disposing of industrial, flex and R & D properties.

SAN DIEGO—Veteran Southern California real estate professional Gary Katz has been named by Westcore Industrial Properties as its director of acquisitions.

Katz will be responsible for the acquisition and disposition of industrial, flex and R&D properties for Westcore’s property portfolio in the western United States, as well as leasing activity for Westcore’s San Diego portfolio.

He most recently was portfolio vice president for Legacy Partners Commercial Inc., where he negotiated leases totaling nearly 2 million sf of commercial property. Prior to that, he was regional manager for The Emmons Co., providing management services to homeowner associations, business parks and commercial shopping centers in San Diego and the Inland Empire.
