Under the arrangement, the Virginia company will operate as Insignia Thalhimer. The firm's client includes Georgia Pacific, Circuit City Stores, Home Depot and Wal-Mart. Its staff of approximately 300 professionals in three offices manage more than 16.5 million sf of space and were involved in transactions involving over 7.5 million sf of sales and leasing last year.

This is the third firm to become a member of SSP. The others include Insignia Oxford, formerly Oxford Realty Services of Pittsburgh and Insignia Miller, previously Miller Corporate Real Estate Services of Baltimore.

As part of the agreement to become an SSP firm, companies agree to adhere to Insignia/ESG's marketing policies and corporate governance protocols.
