Kash n' Karry hasn't closed on the property purchase and the city of Groveland awaits approval for a $450,000 state community development block grant to pay for an extended sewer line to a proposed three-store, 55,000-sf strip center.

Kash n' Karry was established in 1947 in Plant City, FL, the strawberry capital of the state. The grocer became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Food Lion Inc. in 1996.
