New Home for Staten Island Yankees Complete

NEW YORK CITY-Construction has just been completed for the New York Yankees' minor league team, the Staten Island Yankees. Bovis Lend Lease was responsible for construction and project management.

NEW YORK CITY-The Staten Island Yankees now have a new place to hang their hats–and helmets. The New York City Economic Development Corporation, which developed the facility on behalf of the City of New York, hired sports architect HOK Sport of Kansas City to design the stadium, and Bovis Lend Lease LMB Inc. to build it. The new facility was constructed so that the field’s size duplicates the exact dimensions of Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and was completed under an aggressive schedule.

The new Staten Island field promises a spectacular setting, with views of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty (restoration of which was also completed by Bovis Lend Lease, LMB, Inc.). Located near the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, there is one party suite on the first-base side of the upper level that has a capacity of 60 and may be used for conferences or parties during the off-season.
