Other contractors will complete the clubhouse.
The club is anticipating a late fall completion and a first use during the 2001-02 season.
The club and the city will use the facility on East Lewiston Street on a shared basis, six months at a time. The club will use the building from mid-October to mid-April, and Ferndale will have the facility from mid-April to mid-October for community and youth events.
The club has been using the Roseland Curling Club in Windsor, Ontario, across the Detroit border, for the last four years in anticipation of building a facility here.
