Neither Huntsman nor Shorenstein would divulge the specifics of the deal. The new lease is one of the few whole-floor deals signed in recent months in San Francisco.

Huntsman AG is scheduled to take over the space in October 2001. The new headquarters will provide larger office and conference room facilities, more room for technical support areas, plus additional space for future growth, as well as a new communications infrastructure.

Sources at Huntsman tell GlobeSt.com the company tried to maintain their location, but the number of employees coupled with the need to be on a single floor led the company to its new location at 50 California St. Rob Appleton of Grubb & Ellis brokered the deal for Huntsman. Karen Bloch and Karl Baldauf represented Shorenstein.
