$2-Mil Land Sale Triggers Multifamily Project in Chandler

CHANDLER, AZ-Fairfield Residential has started yet another apartment complex in the Valley. The 288-unit Cantera in Chandler is being positioned on 20 acres, recently bought for more than $2 million.

CHANDLER, AZ-One of the Valley’s largest owners of apartments is adding to its portfolio with a new development in Chandler. San Diego-based Fairfield Residential Inc. has spent more than $2 million for 20 acres at the southeast corner of Pecos Road and Ellis Street.

Fairfield owns and operates nine complexes in the metro area and developing six others, including Cantera, the latest undertaking which will bring 288 units to market. The project will open by April 2002, say company officials. The complex will contain one-, two- and three-bedroom units, ranging in size from a little over 700 sf to more than 1,235 sf.
