"The Western Metals lease continues the trend of commercial building and home improvement companies moving to San Leandro," says Dan Bergen, vice president at Colliers International in Pleasanton. "The city is seeing a lot of activity at the moment. Its proximity to the Tri Valley, Silicon Valley, Oakland and the rest of the East Bay definitely are a selling point."

Bergen also completed a nine-year, almost $800,000 lease for 3,960 sf of class A office space to Alameda County. The two-story office complex, located at 2450 Washington Ave., is owned by William Mathews Co.

Bergen represented both Western Metals & Lathe and the the owner in the Doolittle Business Park transaction. Bergen represented Alameda County and Kelly Rea with William Mathews Co. negotiated for William Mathews Co. in the Alameda County transaction.
