HuntGregory Begins $95-Mil Project on River

MINNEAPOLIS-The Village at St. Anthony Falls will consist of townhomes, condominiums, brownstones, apartments, a parking ramp, 30,000 sf of commercial space and 15,000 sf of retail space.

MINNEAPOLIS-Residential developer HuntGregory began construction Thursday on The Village at St. Anthony Falls, a new, urban residential project along the east bank of the Mississippi River on three city blocks in the Northeast Hennepin neighborhood of Minneapolis. The $95-million mixed-use project will fill three city blocks near the Mississippi River with 48 townhomes, 87 loft-style condominiums and 12 three-storybrownstones.

Residences start in the upper $300,000 range; 46 of them have already been sold. In addition, the development at 1st Avenue and 2nd Street Northeast will also include 30 affordable apartments, a 215-space parking ramp, renovation of two historic buildings into 30,000 sf of commercial space and new construction of 15,000 sf of retailspace.

The construction contractors hired for the project are Stahl Construction and Kraus Anderson of Minneapolis.
