The seven-year lease is valued at more than $2.6 million. The space, which is located at 3600 W. Sergerstrom Ave., currently houses Wahlco's headquarters.
Wahlco was represented by David Desper of CB Richard Ellis's Newport Beach office. The landlord, South County Properties, was represented by Dawson Davenport of Coldwell Banker Commercial in Newport Beach.
Wahlco, which designs and manufactures environmental control systems, is an employee-owned business. Nearly all of the assets of Wahlco Inc. were purchased from Thermatrix Inc. by WI Acquisitions on Jan. 15. WI Acquisitions is a California corporation comprised of a mix of industry professionals and Wahlco's existing managers.
The Wahlco renewal lease is the latest sign of the heavy demand for industrial space in the county. Demand continues to outpace supply in the county's tight industrial market, as construction of new industrial projects has slowed considerably in recent months.
