Hays Buys Derbyshire Distribution Complex

LONDON-Hays Distribution has bought a 150,000 sf distribution building currently under construction on Conder's Dove Valley site in Foston, South Derbyshire.

LONDON-Conder Development pre-sold a 150,000 sf distribution unit on its Dove Valley site in Derbyshire to Hays Distribution for more than £8million ($11.25 million). Construction started on the unit on a speculative basis in April 2001.

The 200-acre Dove Valley Park at Foston, South Derbyshire, lies on the A50 route, forming a link between the key M1 and M6 motorways. Cameron Mitchell, Senior Associate at agent Fuller Peiser said this latest deal was proof that national distribution companies are increasingly utilising the A50 cross-country route.
