The two-story development is rising on a 1.4-acre parcel at 100 Moody Court, just north of the Ventura (101) Freeway. It is a project of privately held TR Funding LLC, which is based in nearby Westlake Village.
Though ground was just broken, the building is already 60% leased. Earlier this year, fast-growing restaurateur Baja Fresh signed a 10-year lease valued at $3 million to use the entire 12,000-sf second floor as its corporate headquarters when the low-rise opens in the first quarter of 2002.
Tony Principe, EVP of Westlake Village-based Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services, is the project's exclusive marketing agent. The building's remaining 10,000 sf of space is available and can be divided, Principe says.
The office was designed by Neil Scribner of Thousand Oaks and is being built by Newbury Park-based Squire Construction Corp. The steel-framed structure will have an unusual staggered façade, red tile roof and a lobby with marble floors, maple-covered walls and stainless steel staircase.
