Real Estate Council Sets Legacy Project Unveiling

DALLAS-Come Tuesday, the East Dallas Boys & Girls Club will unveil its new teen center, this year's Legacy Project by the Real Estate Council. The project came in under budget, allowing ample funds for a furniture and recreation equipment buying spree.

DALLAS-For the Real Estate Council, a dedication Tuesday at 10 a.m. culminates another inroad into community service with its annual Legacy Projects. For East Dallas, it’s the unveiling of a new inner-city Teen Center at the East Dallas Boys & Girls Club, located at 4804 Worth St.

The project by the Associate Leadership Council Class of 2000-2001 came in under budget and practically in record time for the 2,000-sf undertaking. Working just weekends, the team has completed this year’s Legacy Project, a total makeover, in about 2 1/2 months, says Randy Rogers, manager of business development for Meridian Commercial Inc. in Dallas and the general contractor leader for the teen center project.
