Matt Alexander of Staubach Co. represented Ross and Mehmet Noyan of Noyan Co, negotiated for the owner, Regency Centers.
Alexander tells GlobeSt.com Ross has successful stores in Emeryville, Richmond and Berkeley, and felt that El Cerrito would target a market it was missing. Ross also liked the fact that it was an older area with good demographics and good co-tenancy.
Ross' new neighbors at 513 Cerrito Plaza include Barnes and Noble, Albertson's, and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Ross plans to occupy the space in the next couple of months.
