The casino will rise just two miles north of the tribes' present casino and is expected to cost between $60 million and $72 million to construct. The structure will feature outdoor waterfalls and Orcas water sculptures. Inside, the 227,000-sf casino will include 1,500 slot machines, 52 table games and parking for 5,000 cars. Completion is slated for September 2002.
That's a sizable boost from the present casino, which stands at about 45,000 sf, and has 875 slots and 35 tables. The current casino also has just one restaurant. The new casino will house a 308-person restaurant and buffet, a fine-dining restaurant and a family restaurant.
