DHL Worldwide Express is one of the world's largest air express service companies, serving more than 85,000 destinations in 228 countries and territories.
It will be DHL's largest distribution facility in Asia, serving as a hub for the company's East Japan operations. The location provides easy access to both Tokyo and Narita airports.

The Japanese industrial market is a natural extension for ProLogis, says Stuart Gibson, vice president and country manager of ProLogis Japan. He adds there is a trend in Japan to build larger, more efficient distribution facilities.
Tatsuo Yaguchi, DHL's operation director, says DHL and ProLogis have a long-standing partnership in many other parts of the world.
''ProLogis is our natural partner of choice to develop a distribution hub for our Japanese operations,'' he says.
ProLogis is the world's largest provider of distribution facilities and services, with 1,700 distribution facilities owned, operating or under development throughout North America, Europe and now Asia. Its total portfolio is 196.9 million sf.
