The 125,000-sf store takes up the first parcel in the 39-acre Lake Stevens Station being developed by Barclays Northwest Inc. The store, which also will include a pharmacy, optical shop and photo studio, is about 25,000 sf larger than the average Target store since it is housing those specialties.

Target is expected to be joined by a major office supply store, a bank and office space. The Lake Stevens Station project encompasses roughly 39 acres, of which about 20 acres is classified wetlands and will not be developed.

The development is located east of Highway 9 between Fourth Street Northeast and Chapel Hill Road, south of Frontier Village.

Barclay's other development in the area, Pioneer Square, sits on a triangular parcel across Highway 9 west from Frontier Village.

Tenants there include Big O Tires, Schuck's Auto Parts, Texaco Xpress Lube, Texaco StarMart, Pizza Hut Express and a car wash.
