Five Oregon Affordable Housing Projects Funded

SEATTLE-A little more than $1 million from The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle is financing more than 260 new affordable housing units in rural Oregon cities, and will preserve and rehabilitate another 25 units.

SEATTLE-As part of a $6.5 million investment in 29 projects across 10 states that will finance 1,000 new affordable housing units, The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle is putting a little more than $1 million into five Oregon projects.

In addition to Oregon, the money is being spent on projects in Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada, Arizona and the Pacific Islands. The housing will benefit homeless families; Native Americans, Alaskans, Hawaiians and rural workers.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle says it will invest another $6 million by the end of the year as part of its Affordable Housing Program, which is funded with 10% of the company’s annual profits and awarded twice annually.
