Hartsfield Attracts New Distribution Center

ATLANTA-Spotting a niche at Hartsfield International Airport, locally based OA Development Co. is rushing to complete a 96,000-sf spec business/distribution center near Interstate 75 at Forest Park’s Old Dixie Road/Forest Parkway intersection in the strong South Atlanta/Airport industrial submarket.

The project is tentatively scheduled to open in September at an estimated hard construction cost of $7.2 million or about $75 per sf, area construction industry estimators tell GlobeSt.com. OA Development officials couldn’t be reached to learn cost details.

Rents will be in the $4.75 per sf to $5.26 per sf range depending on the volume of space leased and percentage of the buildout. The project will offer 30 dock-high doors, a 24-foot minimum clear ceiling height and build-to-suit offices.
