BRAINTREE, MA-Plaza Executive Center, an office building located at 300 Granite St., has been acquired by Sun Life Financial. The Wellesley, MA-based company paid $13.9 million for the 89,500-sf building.

The first-class office building, located about 10 miles from Boston and close to Route 93, was built in 1988 and houses a number of tenants, including Fidelity Investments, MetLife and Verizon. Cushman & Wakefield’s Christopher Phaneuf, who was involved in the transaction, did not return calls by press time, but he said in a released statement that these tenants, “attest to the desirability of the building and its location.”
