TRF Pacific is a West Coast-focused commercial real estate development and asset management firm. HPD Cambridge is an independent living retirement community developer facilities developer and designer that has developed 125 communities around the country.
The project is part of HPD strategy of building "urbansenior" living community, which are facilities located in cities, near retail districts. Creekside Gardens will be built on three acres at 140th and Woodinville-Snohomish Road, adjacent TRF's recently finished 450,000-sf retail center. The apartment project includes a large restaurant, though no deals have been struck in that regard.
TRF has an option to buy the property from George Whatmore. The sale is contingent upon project approval. Curtis Beattie & Associates is the project's local architect. Abbott Construction is the general contractor.
The site was originally planed as retail, but wetlands issues reportedly forced a change to residential. A stream will run through the completed project. The adjacent retail project is set on 43 acres and comprises 25% of downtown Woodinville's core commercial district.
