Buyer Bankim M. Shah paid slightly more than $1.2 million and inked a five-year lease for the ground floor to Washington Inventory Service, GlobeSt.com has been told. The San Diego-based inventory service, which has its headquarters at 9265 Sky Park Court, has owned the 7150 El Cajun Blvd. office building since it was developed in the 1960s.
Tim Mills, senior associate for Burnham Real Estate Services ONCOR International in San Diego, represented Washington Inventory Service. Robert Whissel of Whissel Investment, also in San Diego, acted on behalf of the buyer, who plans to hold the office property as an investment.
Washington Inventory Service is one of the nation's leading corporate and retail inventory operations. In November 2000, its parent Huffy Corp. sold the San Diego business to Sterling Investment Partners LP of Westport, CT.
