Northwest Crossing's 62,000-SF First Phase Delivers

HOUSTON-McShane Corp. has wrapped up work on the first phase of its Northwest Crossing, a 62,000-sf office-flex building. The northwest submarket, says a McShane VP, is noticeably void of that product type. Coming next: a 53,000-sf office-flex structure.

HOUSTON-Rosemont, IL-based McShane Corp. has finished the first phase of its second development project in Houston, bringing 62,000 sf to market in a single-story, office-flex building in the northwest submarket.

Northwest Crossing is located at Hollister Drive and West Little York near Texas 290. Todd D. King, vice president of McShane’s Houston office, tells GlobeSt.com that McShane elected to build office-flex in the Texas 290 area because it is noticeably absent in the submarket, which is known for its high sf of industrial product. King cites the 112,000-sf office building by Yancey-Hausman Development, which broke ground in February, as the only other new project offering office space in the submarket. The project building has been designed with aesthetics in mind, emphasizes King.

Phase two will total 53,000 sf. The entire project sits on eight acres that were bought in February. Cadence McShane Corp., a related company, has done the design-build construction along with Ambrose, McEnany and House Architects.
