The company is the newest tenant at the Park Place complex, which once served as the headquarters of engineering conglomerate Fluor Corp. The office campus stands at 3345 and 3351 Michelson Dr. Its reflective glass exterior is a familiar sight to commuters on the San Diego (405) Freeway who pass by the Jamboree Road exit.

Samsung was represented by David Desper of CB Richard Ellis' Newport Beach office. Janine Padia of Winthrop Management represented the owner, Jamboree LLC.

Samsung is the second tenant to take space at the office complex in the past month. The new tenant will join Balboa Life & Casualty, which signed a lease at Park Place in mid-July.

Balboa paid more than $30 million to take 109,000 sf of office space at the complex. The move, which will be completed early next year, will allow Balboa to expand its workforce to 500 from its current 350. It is relocating from a nearby building next to the Citicorp Tower on Teller Ave.
