The West Palm Beach-based company has contracted with Prakas Group Inc. to represent the company in the sale of the New York-style bar and grill at 319 Clematis St.Announcement of the contract with Prakas Group, a West Palm Beach-based real estate brokerage that specializes in the sale of restaurant and nightclub properties, comes as the restaurant chain is experiencing a change in the makeup of the company's partnership. Neither officials at the restaurant chain nor Prakas Group disclosed details of the internal ownership changes.

This internal change does not affect the restaurant chain's expansion plans, Athan "Tom" Prakas, the brokerage's principal officer, says in a prepared statement. Since its formation in 1999, the chain opened two restaurants operating as Big City Tavern--one on Clematis Street and another in the Tampa, FL, community of Ybor City. It also operates City Oyster in Delray Beach and John Bull's Pub in West Palm Beach.

The chain plans another restaurant on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and is looking for other expansion sites, primarily in South Florida.
