Burton will lead several of BOMA's top advocacy issues including property rights, energy, building codes, taxes, telecommunications, the Americans with Disabilities Act, land usage and several other commercial-real-estate-related issues.

Burton will spearhead research efforts on several initiatives, such as workplace performance and operations, tenant satisfaction, and preventive maintenance studies.

Burton previously served as a senior staff vice president at the National Association of Home Builders, where he spent nine years before coming to BOMA.
