Polaris Outfitters, which sells personal water craft and all-terrain vehicles, has bought 17,695 sf of space from Insignia Inc., a sign manufacturer. Polaris will convert the space, located at 1933 Interstate 35 E, from industrial to retail, according to Bob Trevino, the broker in Grubb & Ellis' San Antonio office who represented Insignia. Polaris represented itself in the deal.

Polaris moves from 6,500 sf on Texas 46 between New Braunfels and Seguin. The new site will include a retail center, showroom and offices. The land around the structure will provide a place for customers to test drive the land-based vehicles. Also along that stretch of I-35 are a Honda auto dealership and a plumbing supply store.

Insignia, which makes signs ranging from plaques to office directories to specialty items, is moving its operations to smaller quarters outside of New Braunfels.
