Southpoint Consolidated has bought 2,800 sf of retail space at 3100 Broadway, northeast of San Antonio's CBD. Southpoint has 48 stores positioned between San Antonio and Houston and plans to add a dozen more in Houston, eight more in San Antonio and expand to Arizona as well. Southpoint opened its first franchise in 1997. Ernest Brown of the Grubb & Ellis Co.'s office in San Antonio represented the seller, Atherton Capital, based in San Bruno, CA and Robert Grant and John Busby brokered the deal for Southpoint.

In another deal, Twelfth Street Warehouse bought 7,000 sf of retail space at 6700 S. Flores in San Antonio's south submarket. Brown represented the seller, GWR Property and Management Co., and Gary Gum represented Twelfth Street.
