Two High-Tech Groups Up Size with Total 5,175-SF Pacts

AUSTIN-The American Electronics Association and a biotech developer have signed leases for an aggregate 5,175 sf that enables both to expand. The AeA's spot at 1402 San Antonio will provide office space for its South Texas Council.

AUSTIN-Two organizations involved in technology have moved into bigger spaces in separate deals. Evacyte Corp., a biotech developer, has taken 3,925 sf at the Centre, situated at 7801 N. Lamar in north Austin. In the other deal, the American Electronics Association has signed for 1,200 sf at 1402 San Antonio.

Greg Johnston of Colliers Oxford Commercial in Austin represented the tenants in the deals. Jeff Knavel acted for the Centre’s building owner, SD&A, and Chad Auler represented Ed and Susan Auler in the lease at 1402 San Antonio.Evacyte is developing technology for early detection of cancer in cells. The company moved from about 2,000 sf at the Reserve, located at 500 N. Capital of Texas Highway. The Centre, which is at the intersection of Lamar Boulevard and US Highway 183, has 204,270 sf.

The AeA, which lobbies the Texas Legislature on behalf of technology companies, has set up shop an a house renovated into offices by the Aulers. The building also contains the business of the Auler’s winery, Fall Creek Vineyards.
