The terms of the lease were not immediately available.
The RoomStore said in a statement the facility will be utilized as a distribution center for residential deliveries in an area spanning from Northern Virginia to Southern Pennsylvania.
The RoomStore is headquartered in Richmond, VA, and has 21 locations in the mid-Atlantic market.
According to CoStar Real Estate Group, a Bethesda, MD, research firm, industrial space in the Baltimore metropolitan market is renting for $4.71 sf, and flex space is renting for $9.45 sf. KLNB broker Allan Riorda, who represented The RoomStore, said the sf price paid by his client fell within that range.
The RoomStore said the Washington-Baltimore corridor is one of the company's strongest areas.
"The health of the local residential market is among the strongest in the nation, which translates to increased sales of home furnishings," said company vice president David Weinstein. Weinstein said the company continues to pursue expansion in the area.
