Cousins Recruits Fleming to Open Position

ATLANTA-James A. Fleming, a law partner in Fleming & Ray, is the new senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at the locally based REIT. He replaces Tom G. Charlesworth who was promoted to executive vice president and chief investment officer in January of this year.

ATLANTA-James A. Fleming, a real estate lawyer in Atlanta for 19 years, is the new senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Cousins Properties Inc. Fleming replaces Tom G. Charlesworth who was promoted to executive vice president and chief investment officer in January of this year.

For the past seven years, Fleming has been a partner in Fleming & Ray, a local firm he founded in 1994 that specializes in commercial real estate. He also spent 12 years at Long, Aldridge & Norman in Atlanta where he was managing partner from 1991-1993. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1982.
