The city will install photovoltaic solar panels this year on the roof of the city's Environmental Services Department Operation Center. The station includes the city's first liquefied natural gas fueling station.
San Diego now buys liquefied natural gas from Arizona. The city plans to eventually use methane produced at the Miramar landfill near the fueling station.
