The project will give the center more space and allow the center to use newer equipment to better serve patients, according to hospital officials.

Tri-City Medical Center, which serves Oceanside, Carlsbad and Vista, has had a cardiac rehabilitation center for the past 17 years, said Debbie King, foundation executive director.
