Purchase Assures Western Slope of Concrete

VAIL, CO-LaFarge Corp. subsidiary Western Mobile Inc. buys Rocky Mountain Redi-Mix LLC; Roaring Fork Sand & Gravel Inc.; Roaring Fork Aggregates Inc.; and Roaring Forks Resources Inc., assuring area demand is met.

VAIL, CO-Western Mobile Inc., a subsidiary of LaFarge Corp., has purchased theassets of several construction material suppliers in Eagle and Garfield counties on the Western Slope. Companies purchased included Rocky Mountain Redi-Mix LLC; Roaring Fork Sand & Gravel Inc.; Roaring Fork Aggregates Inc.; and Roaring Forks Resources Inc.

The purchases will provide uninterrupted supplies of concrete and sand and gravel to the communities of the Western Slope, according to Steve Wood, vice president and general manager of LaFarge’s Western Slope division.

LaFarge has operated in Pitkin County, where Aspen is located, for more than 20 years, Eagle County for more than 25 years and Garfield County, which is next to Pitkin County, for more than 25 years.
