The company will continue to provide strategic management and account services for The Retail Group through the leadership of Christopher Gunter, managing principal and co-founder and Gene Silverberg, chief executive officer.
No reason was given for Owens' dismissal. But the company did issue a statement by Gunter saying: "I'm proud to say throughout the many years The Retail Group has been in business, the creativity and vision of our team, and our ability to deliver outstanding results, has brought us great industry recognition. We are absolutely committed to serving our clients, and are confident in the continued success of The Retail Group. We all wish J'Amy the best in her future endeavors."
Owens could not be reached for comment on the matter.
