Growth May Yield $100-Mil Business Park

LYON TOWNSHIP, MI-After a threat of annexation to neighboring Wixom, Lyon Township agrees to install infrastructure for the new 200-acre Q Industrial Park to be developed by Quadrants Inc.

LYON TOWNSHIP, MI-Business parks are spilling south out of Wixom. Quadrants Inc., a developer of business and industrial parks, is putting together a site plan for a 200-acre property for high-tech, distribution and light manufacturing uses in the township on Grand River Avenue.

The development is expected to cost between $70 million to $100 million, says Jon Savoy, the Grubb and Ellis broker for the land.Wixom, a city to the north, has led the Southeast Michigan market with new business and technology park developments. The city lies alongside the I-96 Corridor, a hot market right now for industrial and office development.

However, the city is losing available land fast, and developers are looking to move into nearby areas, Savoy tells GlobeSt.com.
